Drew Hayes, creator of POISON ELVES, died sometime recently due to a heart attack. He was 37 years old. I was in DC on vacation when I found this out through Livejournal. POISON ELVES is one of my favorite comic book series, with wonderful costumes, character designs, plots and a very multifacited world. Drew and PE were great inspirations to Elven Lacryment. It taught me that not all elves were Legolas' and Elfquest. It showed me that it was bloody well ok for elves to weild guns and swear and smoke and drink and fuck and murder in cold fucking blood.
